VPG delivers Intel’s 3D graphics, media, display GPU, and Parallel Computing Technology. We have a position for Graphics Software Engineer. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -Validation of Multiple aspects of Graphics kernel mode software stack such as Scheduling, Memory Management and Power Management modules on Windows OS.-Responsible for Test plan authoring, developing test strategy, publishing test documentation, implementing white box unit level & integration tests, in-depth debugging of test and driver issues, participating and performing reviews, and updating tests as needed through the product life cycle. -Work closely with architecture, software development, and hardware teams to provide innovative test designs and/or solutions to enhance the efficiency of software testing. Planning and scheduling work across multiple products to meet published deadlines.This position requires involvement in all phases of pre-silicon emulation/simulation through post-silicon product launch. The individual is expected to work with various partners and teams to resolve issues as well as recommend future hardware and software improvements. The individual must demonstrate the ability to effectively work with cross-geo teams of software validation/development engineers, Graphics Hardware Architect/Designers, product validation, marketing, legal and support teams to productize & innovate cutting-edge graphics features.
Experience and proficiency should be related to software development and validation. -Experience working with systems hardware/software product development teams. Software validation or development including designing and debugging in the Windows environment. -Experience in software development using C / C++. -Good understanding of Operating Systems Concepts, Computer Architecture, and SW Design Principles. -Strong attention to technical detail, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to ramp very quickly and work independently. Added qualifications Nice to have:- Experience in developing Linux/Android/Windows device drivers – Graphics driver validation or development experience, passion to break design/architecture and find bug is a plus – General graphics skills, 3D or media – Experience in applying project management methodologies and tools within the software development lifecycle- Good working knowledge of Microprocessor Architecture with in-depth understanding of memory management, scheduling subsystem and Power Management in the Operating System – Windows device driver architecture competitive awareness and analysis of relevant graphics technologies
