As a member of our Software Engineering Group, you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. Youâ€™ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing, and application programming that goes into creating high-quality software and new products. Youâ€™ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of whatâ€™s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. Strong background on Mainframe Technologies like Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS.
Experience with Mainframe tools like Changeman, CA-Platinum, XPEDITER, OMEGAMON etc…
Experience on Databases, Stored Procedures (DB2)
Working knowledge of Unix Scripting.
Creation of Unit Test Plans, and execution of Unit Tests
Providing and/or agreeing with estimates for required development
Coding of new programs and changes to existing programs
Preparation and execution of Systems Test Plans and Scripts
Providing technical support for Quality Assurance (QA) Testing and User Acceptance Testing
Creation of Implementation/ Back-out Plans and Support Handover Documents
Providing technical support for Production Implementations, and post-implementation support during implementation warranty period
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages- Mainframe, Cobol
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
